Blog post #1 (or, you know, 60 if you count that other* blog) - What is this and what are you doing here?

Simple. My journal! (Diary? (Notebook?? (Thing???)))

:D

Everyone has been saying it's a good idea to keep one, but it is very difficult to write something down for the day when you are busy with other things. Then I realized that my brother had temporarily donated a very handy little device known popularly as the 'iPod Touch', and we have plethora of free time to journal with all the driving we do. (None to very little if you don't count 'car time' as 'free time'.) Thus. . . A Journal on the Road of El Salvador was born!

Or variations of said name that I couldn't decide upon and which varied from great-at-that-particular-instant-when-I-thought-it-but-perhaps-not-quite-so-great-later-on to I-chucked-it-out-the-car-window-from-my-brain-the-instant-the-name-crossed-my-mind. Then I finally sat down and made this here blog that you are right now at this VERY instant reading (You lucky dog! ;D ) and still didn't feel very good about the title I was going to put down, when I realized that my blog would also be needing a cool and nifty, you know, 'hip', URL that would be easy to remember and that journalontheroadofelsalvador.blogspot.con just really isn't very user friendly.

So I was getting nowhere fast and decided praying about it would be best, along with the blog as a whole. That and, you know, it's probably a good way to start off a missionary journal blog thing.

Then. . . INSPIRATION!

I was looking at the app I write my journal on and it separates the notes you write into notebooks. My google account is called NonstopSong, so the app automatically titled my first notebook 'NonstopSong's Notebook'.

Well it got me thinking, "Why do I need to call them journal entries? Funny how instead of what you immediately think of in a journal, I'm just (intending to) jot down notes throughout the day. . ."

Thus Notes of a NonstopSong was born!! Que fanfare.

And so ends my overly long explanation of how this blog came into being. There will briefly be a lump of posts that come all at once as I upload my backlogged journals, but that will stop quite soon so please do not be too afraid.

*A verse from the woods - My blog of Bible studies which is, as of THIS post, at a count of 59 posts.
